In the context of the socio-economic modernization and the political consolidation that Argentina experienced at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, a wide range of discourses and practices of social control developed in reaction to the threat that the massive arrival of immigrants and the greater presence of women in natio glide on eyeshadow stick the public sphere appeared to pose to the social order.This article seeks to analyze how these discourses of control infuenced the daily merrick backcountry wet cat food lives of social actors, observing their familial practices through the statements they made (particularly those by lower class women) before the Justicia de Paz to denounce ill-treatment.In this way, the article tries to provide some interesting data regarding social control and its limits from the central and southern parts of Buenos Aires province at the turn of the twentieth century (a the scarcely-studied context for such issues), and how to address the world of practices beyond the discourse.
